Should I Hire a REALTOR

BuyerSellerLaneThe last few years have brought so much change to the way people in North America buy and sell real estate.

20 Years ago, if you felt there was no value to using a REALTOR® you simply put up a sign, put an expensive  advertisement in the local paper and crossed your fingers! The chances of being successful were slim and most sellers knew it before they even started. It was usually a “let’s try it before we go to a brokerage” move and very occasionally people got a result.

NOW if you want to sell your property without a REALTOR® the internet offers a great vehicle to promote your property and oodles of information on how to do it without professional help. You have heard how easy it is RIGHT! Lots of people you know have done it or know someone who did it and saved a lots of cash! But did you ever think about the fact that people never talk about their failures only their successes. How many more people got into serious trouble because they accidently misrepresented themselves or their property. How many folks sold and were all excited about their savings, only to find out that their neighbour sold for 15% more than they did just a few weeks later?

According to an independent study with over 7,000 respondents, done on behalf of the National Association of REALTORS®  in 2010. Only 5% of all home sold were sold privately.  40% Buyers believed that they benefited from using a REALTOR®  because they believed that they negotiated a better contract with a REALTOR ®  35% of Sellers felt they got a better price with a REALTOR®

You may be surprised to see everything a Royal LePage Lakes of Muskoka Realty REALTOR® does in the course of selling a property.
